Welcome to this collection of videos and photos of Mieko Johnson, a long term survivor of Trisomy 18. She passed away at the age of 4 in 2008, but left her mark in many ways. Mieko was able to accomplish many things, including walking with a walker and crutches. She had a great quality of life and brought joy to all those around her. We hope her journey will help others dealing with trisomy disorders.

Thank you so much for the kind words. Though we are still struggling to go on without Mieko, we do feel so lucky to have had her in our lives. It makes us feel good to know others have been touched by her as well. It's amazing how a little girl accomplished so much in 4 years, especially when she wasn't supposed to be here at all. Thank you for taking the time to write and reach out to us.

Just happened across some of your videos, I am o sorry to hear about the loss of Meiko, but take heart that you made that beautiful little girls life whole, giving her love and care second to none. I was reduced to tears watching the video of her smiling and giggling. I can't imagine how loosing here struck you, but I believe that you had just a great affect on her as she did you.
