Silver Bullet at Knotts Berry Farm

When you walk up to the park entrance, Silver Bullet is the first coaster you see. The sound of screaming riders from the cobra roll element take place above the park's main entrance. Being 146ft. tall and having a maximum speed of 55mph makes Silver Bullet the tallest and fastest B&M inverted coaster in California.

Once the restraints are locked and checked, the train advances to the lift and goes up it like most B&Ms do. Unlike other inverts, Siler Bullet doesn't have a steep first drop. You can't really feel the acceleration until the bottom. The sudden acceleration g-forces feel like you are thrown into the first inversion, a 105ft virtical loop. Next up is a left over banked turn. which is a fun and unique element for a B&M invert to have. Then comes the cobra roll element that soars over the main entrance to the park. From the experience of other inveted cobra rolls, this one seemed to have less force than others. After the cobra roll is the zero-g roll, the most forceless one yet. I don't know what it is about the element, but it doesn't have enough twist or speed that a normal zero-g roll should have (it's a element that lives up to it's name. No g-force at all). Following the zero-g roll is a fast left turn into the first corkscrew. which comes out into a quick hill which twists into another corkscrew. From that point on the ride gets better. The best part of the ride is the helix that puts your brain down to your butt. The best element is at the end of the ride where it pulls off a powerful and disorienting helix before shooting into the brakes.

When I saw Silver Bullet for the first time I was expecting something close to Raptor at Cedar Point. Do not expect too much of Silver Bullet or you will be disapointed. Other than the helix, most of the ride is forceless. Overall it's a good choice to ride at Knott's Berry Farm because it's not a very intense ride for those who can't stand Ghostrider or Xcelerator.

After a recent ride on Silver Bullet I noticed a awesome amount of hangtime in the elements. I predict that it will get better as it ages.
