Absolutely, I would never recommend this as a main studio mic, it's much more suitable for on the road recording, when all you have is a laptop and this mic, no pre-amps etc. It's pretty reasonable for running off some okay sounding audio when you can't get to a studio. Couple it up with a fold-u...
