Couldn't agree more, some of the presets are bloody awful! I always start with just a basic Sine patch and this means you don't have to reset everything every time. Cheers for the comments.

It's a doubling effect so the delay creates a distance between the dry and wet signals so you hear then as different sounds. Basic setting on the mod delay is Flange.
