BILL COLEMAN

Bill Coleman is a musician from Cork, Ireland.

His music has been compared to Elvis Costello and the Cure amongst others. Finger plucked guitars abound, allied with two-fingered keyboard riffs, melodic vocal lines, a catchy turn of phrase and a refreshingly positive attitude. First released by Mango Music on their For Your Machine compilation (both Josh Ritter & Neosupervital were other notable contributors) he went on to release his debut EP on his own label in 2003.

Since adopted by Irish "No Disco" website irishmusiccentral.com as one to watch for the future, 2006 saw him being highlighted by Tom Dunne on his "Pet Sounds" radio show as a Rising Artist, and fitting TV & festival appearances and constant gigging into an increasingly busy schedule.

Bill's debut album "Ill Tear My Own Walls Down" was released Feb 23rd and is available physically from all good record stores in Ireland and online from iTunes + various others.

July 2004 Tyrone Left his record labels Studio in Belfast to record his new album on a portable recording desk in a small 1 room studio Built behind his house, there were no producers,managers or engineers involved in the creative process. Tyrone said "I've worked in some of the biggest and best studios but there has always been a producer or manager trying to make me sound radio friendly or attractive to a certain demographic. Never have I had the feeling of total artistic freedom till now. The songs on this record are everything to me, its my soul on a plastic disc. I allowed noone other than myself and my band into the sessions. It was so relaxed, maybe sometimes too relaxed. We would all sit in my studio(Bunker Studios) doing what musicians do and when the mood was exactly right then we would record the songs...

JOE MCKENNA

Joe Mckenna is a 28 year old irsh singer/songwriter original from Belfast but now living in Dublin. Having began teaching himself music at 16 Joe gradually grew in ability and in the summer of 2000 set off for New york with his bag,notebook and guitar. While there Joe began his live career playing the cafes and bars of the east and greenwich village. No sooner had that beagn than Joe was signed up by a production company and paraded before major labels as the next big thing. But the demographic contstraints of the music business and Joe's inherent need to just write songs that where real caused a major split in the company and they parted ways. In the aftermath joe went about recording with friends and then took his journey back to Ireland, where after great success (Solas sessions singer/songwriter of 2004 award, runner up in the Drogheda song contest) he independently released his debut E.P with major help from producer Declan Legge of Big Space Studios in his home town of Belfast. Joe's release was met with great response that included a headline at the Imagine Arts Festival of Waterford and a live session with BBC radio in Belfast aswell as numerous appearances on other Irish radio staions. Now in the process of putting together his album again with Big Space Joe has some very exciting work in the pipeline. So if you like songs that can sway from the dark to the cheesy with alot of soul keep in touch and enjoy the tracks on my space. One Love.

Since its inception organiser Barry "Jazz" Finnegan, has given up and coming artists a chance to showcase their work to an appreciative audience on a weekly basis in Bruxelle's on Dublin's Harry Street. Unlike other promoters he's not in this for personal gain and entirely self funds the evening. His sole purpose is to promote the talents of these performers. "When you witness the amazing talents of people going unnoticed, you can stand back and do nothing, or you can do this." Regular artists appearing at the sessions include founding member of Blue Oyster Cult Joe Bouchard, Eurovision star Mickey Joe Harte, Luan Parle and Mundy.

Having developed a huge cult following, March 2006 saw the release of the The Potential Collection, which showcased some of the finest new musical talent around including Angels composer Ray Heffernan, Micheal Roche, Brian McGovern and Tyrone Relph. Such was its popularity that due to demand Barry has now put together a second volume of the popular collection featuring 12 more inspiring tracks performed by some of the regular musicians. This second compilation boasts a wide range of acoustic styles from folk to soul. Some of the acts contributing to the eagerly awaited album include:

- Jezzebelle, winners of Clonmel National Song Contest 2007 and NOISE Battle of the bands 2007;
- G.D.C. (Grá Don Ceoil), whose video from The Zodiac Sessions of the song "Jazz" was featured on YouTube receiving over 53,000 hits;
- Wayne Brennan, whose single "And I Love" has received extensive airplay across the radio waves and its video featured recently on Channel 6.
