The band was formed in 2005 but reached its current line-up in summer, 2007. Their debute show was the qualifying round of the Hungarian division of the international Emergenza (www.emergenza.net) talent contest in november 2007. The gig was such a success, that not only did they win the round, but the number of their votes was leading the international top five of Emergenza for over a month and is still number one in Hungary. As a tribute to their success, the band was immediately invited to play on two Emergenza shows as special guest, to Wien (Austria) and Bratislava (Slovakia). Ever since that first gig, the band has played concerts around Hungary. They have managed to build a steady 400-500 fanbase in their local area. On tour, thanks to the success of their 2008 year's demo, they usually have an audience of about 200 people, which is a remarkable result in the Hungarian underground music scene, the band being so young. 'The pfl' is chosen to support Bad Religion on their show in Budapest on 11th June 2008.

They also won a talent contest held by one of the greatest recording studios in Hungary, Utopia Studios ( http://www.utopia.hu ). The prize was to record three of their songs free. Several of the country's rock and pop albums of mainstream Hungarian bands have been and are being recorded in this studio.

Also this year, they signed a contract with the American '272 Records' to feature their hit 'Countdown' on their compilation record titled 'The Mob Rules Vol.2." coming out this April.

In september 2008 they finished their first studio LP and are currently looking for labels.
