Kobe Bryant will go down as the greatest basketball player who has ever lived. And to anybody who wants to debate the Kobe vs. Lebron argument.. Lebron is just a FREAK and puts up big numbers because of his monster size and athletecism he was gifted with. Let me know when Lebron drops 81 in one game or outscores an entire team through 3 quarters when he torched the Mavs for 62 and didnt even have to play the fourth quarter cause they were winning by 30+. He could have easily had 80 or more that game too. Let me know when lebron averages 35.4 points in a season or scores 50 or more in 4 straight games or even, ever scores 60+ in a game which Kobe has done 5 times. Kobe has 25 50+ games, Lebron has 8. Lebrons career high is 56. And dont even say Kobes a ball hog cause they average almost they same amount of attemps per game. And dont repeat what everyone else loves to say "he wouldnt have won 3 of his titles without Shaq". Well Shaq wouldnt have won without Kobe. period. And they wouldnt have won without all the other pieces surrounding them. Its a team game. Kobe doesnt put up the numbers Lebron does because thats not his game. Theyre two different styles of players and run two different styles of offenses. Nobody puts up big assists numbers in the triangle, use Jordan as an example of that. Numbers dont always define a player. Oscar Robertson put up bigger numbers than Jordan but you never hear that argument do you. Winning and championships defines a player. Kobe: 6 finals appearances, 4 titles. Lebron: 1 finals appearance. 0 titles. Until Lebron ever wins a championship he shouldnt even be in the same coversation with Kobe. And everyone always says Lebron doesn't have as good of a supporting cast as Kobe? Mo Williams. Antwan Jamison. Shaq. Anderson Verajo. Ilgauskas. West. Parker. Hickson. The Cavs are just as good as the Lakers if not better, point proving they had the best record in the league 2 years in a row. Even if the Lakers do have a better team, Lebrons supposed to be so much better right? carrying your team deep into the playoffs doesnt mean shit, hes so great he should be able to take them to the finals. All you James fans do is constantly make excuses for him. He chokes every year and thats a fact. Lebron can have the mvp but until he wins a championship, Kobes the King.
