Thousands of Iraqis risked everything to work for the U.S.-led occupation because they believed in democracy. Today, they are considered "traitors," and are being systematically targeted for death. The American government says saving its "Iraqi allies" is a moral responsibility, but has done little to answer their cries for help. Led by Kirk Johnson, a former USAID employee, a growing coalition of U.S citizens, soldiers and lawyers is compiling a list of these Iraqis and working to find them refuge.
