The Joining of Heaven and Earth is an interactive film project which is supplemented by text material and is currently at the writing and post production stage.

The subject is the medieval pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain, the shrine of the Apostle James. It is a journey which takes us all over France and northern Spain visiting the saintly shrines along the way, from those of Mary Magdalene in Burgundy, Saturninus at Toulouse, Trophimus at Arles and many many more.
Built over the saints' tombs are the eleventh and twelfth century Romanesque churches, abbeys and cathedrals which together form one of the greatest ensembles of world heritage sites anywhere.
