These are photos of my local area, Ballsbridge, Herbert Park, Sandymount Strand and it's environs. The exceptions to this are a photo taken in Venice (1.24) - the 1948 bronze "The Angel of the City" by Marino Marini, positioned at the front of the palazzo in the Peggy Guggenheim museum, facing the Grand Canal. It is rumoured that this nude and clearly excited horse rider was originally possessed of a screw-in demountable penis so that it could be removed in order to avoid offending passing VIPs. So many of the bronze phalluses were stolen, that the current member has been welded to the Angel's body. The photos at 2.04 were taken in the courtyard of the Reina Sofia in Madrid.

The song Sposa Son Desprezatta, I am wife and I am scorned, is an Italian aria written by Francesco Gasparini. It is used in Vivaldi's pasticcio, Bajazet and in this instance is sung by Celia Bartolli. (less info)
