John Burke, chief instructor of the Eikoku Karate-do Keikokai demonstrates self defence moves from karate kata. Beginning his training in 1982, sensei was fortunate to meet a variety of great instructors who have helped him to generate a system that takes Karate back to its roots.

John Burke is the Chief Instructor of the Eikoku Karate-do Keikokai. This group of Karate clubs train with an emphasis on "the Old Ways", combining their art with self defence rather than sport.
Training takes place in Torquay, Totnes, and our centre in Newton Abbot, Devon, UK.
Seminars are available at your club, tailored to your requirements, usually based around the ideas of Kata bunkai, oyo, and pressure points.
