About THE TORONTO GAY HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
The Toronto Gay Hockey Association (TGHA) is a non-contact, social, ice hockey league for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (GLBT), and heterosexual men and women over the age of eighteen. It is the largest league of its kind in the world. The league is a not for profit organization run by volunteers. Nine teams comprised of players from various backgrounds and skill levels play every Sunday evening at the Canlan Ice Sports - York complex, located on the grounds of York University. The regular season begins in late September and ends with playoffs in the Spring. Spectators are always welcome.
The TGHA offers an environment free from all forms of harassment and discrimination and encourages fair play, openness and friendship. We provide a competitive and social atmosphere that promotes the growth of leadership, coaching, and playing skills.
