I bought my first RC car in 1985 on a flea market. It was the still n.i.b. Sand Scorcher from Tamiya. At that time, the Sand Scorcher was already 5 or 6 years on the market and I already had problems getting parts for this great little car. Soon, I got a Tamiya Boomerang and Kyosho Optima Mid SE. I got into racing but ceased the hobby in 1990. I then stored all parts in my parent's attic. In 2001, I came back and restored my Sand Scorcher with the help of ebay. Soon, I discovered interesting RC car sites like Theo's Tamiya temple or roby's great site. In 2002, I became a member of Tamiyaclub. Via this platform, I met some very interesting people personally.
