Hello Space Fans, I realize I've been away for a couple of years NOT posting my videos to YT. Sorry about that.

I think you'd understand if you had any idea what's gone on in my life for the last couple of years.

Long story short, I've moved 1,000 miles east to Champaign, IL (?!?!?!) and am working at the University of Illinois.

Things have calmed down in my life to a point where I can begin making/uploading videos again.

Certainly, the work I'm doing here will be the subject of a great many of them.

Thanks for hanging in there and being patient. I really never expected anyone to notice my absence. I couldn't have been more mistaken.

Thanks and stay tuned!

well hopfully if we survive another world war, the technology developed might allow for almost-FLT , i do however think its a shame that governments will only pump that kind of funding into thoose areas when we want to destroy each other . :(

I hate that we are not able to see what is really going on right now in the distence of space. I hate that the light that comes from ten thousand light years away, in which we preseive is basicly the past of that area ten thousand years ago. If only we knew what was really happening that far away in the present.

great job, dude. piece of advice--you do a great job ad-libbing, so no need to disclaimer or apologize. we don't care if you stumble here or there; you're engaging, you've got the right voice (literally) and your content/concept is fascinating. Evaporating, indeed.

awesome stuff man. i have been reading alot of timothy ferris lately, and just recently re-read the chapter in state of the universe about dark matter. i have heard some interesting recent speculations that dark matter might somehow be the actual vacuum of space. i think its great how we are grasping around at anything trying to explain this enigma. eventually we will have a solid dark matter theory. or, alternatively, as my brother jon likes to hope, the large hadron collider will create a box full of dark matter out of the ether. :)

every time i look at the 'single most important image taken by humanity' i feel like a mere speck in infinity. i realise who i really am. next to nothing.
i look at it when i'm troubled by my biggest worries. and suddenly - each time - i smile.
the vastness of the universe teaches me vaster lessons.
thank you.
