Original tune: Davenport's Waltz (maybe a mazurka)
February 23, 2009, 07:10 PM

"The Tennessee River Reel" Original Tune
February 10, 2009, 06:30 PM
This is an original tune I wrote this afternoon after talking to my friend, who's currently working on a project involving a two-day journey on a paddle boat up the Tennessee River. I've composed it in the style of a traditional Irish tune, so that's how it's being tagged.

Wow.... you rock. Unbelievable playing. I have a request... is it possible that you could make a couple recordings with your Freshwater zouk? Only I know someone who's thinking of getting one.

I hadn't notice your use of hammered on triplets in your videos. I actually prefer the sound of them. Clawhammer banjo tends to rely heavily on left-handed fills because the limitations of the stroke. Great videos!
