That's strange, I'm not sure why it wouldn't work. I just double checked by deleting FunkBox and Loopy HD, then reinstalling with fresh settings, to make sure it worked and it did for me. Did you maybe configure your Loopy MIDI settings previously, and it is looking for a clock on a diffferent input? The "Clock Inputs" section of Loopy should have nothing checked, not even FunkBox. I know that's confusing, but there are two sets of ports: we're using Loopy's built in ports, not FunkBox's.

Hi, yes you can import your own samples and create custom kits. Also note that this video shows version 1.0, that was a long time ago! We just released version 3.0 that looks and works nicer. Sample import, sharing of custom boxes and patterns, retina iPad and iPhone 5, CoreMIDI support for sync and CC control, and more. Check it!

Hi, the monotribe does not do MIDI, it does a form of older CV sync, so you would need a MIDI->CV converter to convert the clock from FunkBox to a CV pulse that the Monotribe understands. You could also mod your Monotribe to do MIDI. If you want to see a Monotribe with a Kenton Pro Solo MIDI->CV sync converter our Boston Music Hack Day video shows you that.

Hi, it is possible but I'm not super familiar with the setup since I use a Mac, which has the network MIDI built in. From what I've read, on PC you use a program called "rtpmidi" to do something similar. Google "rtp midi pc" and you should get some good links (it won't let me post them here in the comments)

thanks! the laptop is running ableton live, in clock slave mode so that it gets its clock from FunkBox. I trigger clips with the keyboard, and they play in time with the song since Ableton is synced up with everything else.

thanks! the current hack day version of the app requires that the echo nest have already analyzed the song for someone else. their api/library has easy hooks to submit the song if they don't have it, or if the data they sent back didn't seem to match yours, etc. that would be one of the things i would add before releasing it.

Just a note to mention the Little MIDI Machine app now supports iPhone/Touch, and also now supports CoreMIDI (USB or WiFi). It can also send or receive MIDI clock, so you can sync it to other instruments or a computer. The UI has also been updated and is a little prettier. And it's still free, available on the app store. Have fun step sequencing!

@polishbroadcast The Uno works fine without a hub, just connected directly to the Camera Connection Kit and then the iPad. I have had trouble getting MIDI clock in to the iPad (and also to my Mac) through the Uno, I think it might not support receiving clock for some reason. But clock out, like shown here, works great.
