This is a new upload of a video previously posted to YouTube. This time, it should be in a higher quality format for a clearer picture. It shows the car being driven out of the 'delivery suite' at the dealer, then shows some of the features of the car.

The black paint looks really nice when clean, but being water based (like most modern cars) it's too easily scratched. One disadvantage of the LS460 SE-L is the small boot. The standard LS460 has a 505 litre boot, but in the SE and SE-L versions, the rear airconditioning unit takes up valuable space, reducing the boot to only 385 litres. This is not a problem for me though.

As you approach the car with the key in your posession, the car lights up to 'welcome you'. Touching the door handle unlocks the car. I normally set the mirrors to fold in when locking the car and unfold when unlocking - a good way to tell that the car is indeed locked. You can also set the seat memory to jump to a particular position depending on which key is used to unlock the car. In the video you see that the driver's seat resets itself when I open the door.

From the rear seat you can slide/recline/heat/cool the seats, control the DVD player, control the side/rear blinds, and adjust the climate control (4 separate zones). If you want to watch a DVD or listen to music privately, the car comes with 2 sets of wireless headphones. The driver can then listen to something else (or nothing at all) if preferred. The DVD will only show video on the rear screen when driving. It displays also on the front touchscreen only when the car is in Park, for safety reasons.

The car is extremely quiet when driving gently, but on full acceleration, the engine note becomes harder and you can hear the V8 do its stuff. Acceleration from standstill is very good, but the really nice thing is that it keeps accelerating hard well past 100 mph (where laws permit). If you think that an 8 speed gearbox is too much, shift into S, and select 5 or 6. You then have a 5 or 6 speed gearbox which gives better engine braking and kicks down more quickly when you want.
