Flying into Cordova, AK over the Copper River in Winter. Took this on the Alaska Airlines flight from Yakitat. The delta is around 20 miles wide or more between Cordova and the Childs Glacier south of town. The largest braided channel I've ever seen.

A 4 meter drop begins this fall as it dumps into a big pool then a narrow shoot with a good campsite next to the rapid at the end. The fall is located just west of Stonehouse Lake on the Bloodvein River. Video taken in early August, 2007.
