I am the silver and blue Dalek in this clip. He is called Steve The Dalek and was built by veteran Merseyside Dalek builder Andy Shaw in 2002. Steve The Dalek now lives a happy retirement in my garage accompanied by the 2 Daleks I have constructed myself, and a big blue phone box for which none of them cares very much.

A brilliant minute-long clip from Vision On, shown first on 1st December 1972. Tony Hart draws the outline of a Dalek using a football-pitch line-marking machine, and then it 'comes to life'. Dalek spods will recognise these as the 1972 BBC Visual Effects wooden Dalek builds, appearing in their gunmetal 'Planet Of The Daleks' livery (though I think there's a couple of Aaru skirt sections in there as well)
