My name is Steve Ferkau, I'm 48-years old and I've suffered from cystic fibrosis my whole life. Eight years ago, I received the gift of life in the form of a lung transplant from a loving, caring girl from Iowa named Kari.

I'll be keeping an updated video journal of my experiences at the Rose Parade here. I look forward to meeting other recipients, donor family members and others touch by organ donation from around the nation.
