how long will August be in New York? I saw it 2 weeks ago and it was AMAZING, i want to go back and see it again!

I was floored by the exceptional performances and effortless dialogue. The cast is amazing and work wonderfully off each other. The commentary about disfunction in families and isolation in everyones lives was, for the most part, spot on. It turned me into a big fan of Letts and look forward to checking out more of his work. I saw this at Steppenwolf and greatly encourage anyone who enjoys an original, well written screenplay to go see it in New York.

I saw this play last night in previews and it was fantastic. Amy Morton was a revelation (I personally hadn't heard of her before) and stood out in a uniformally amazing cast. Full of wit and insite into the human condition this play is not to be missed.

August: Osage County touched my soul and found it searching for the same meaing of life the characters seek. Powerful in message; powerful in concept.

August: Osage County. If you haven't seen this play, you have until August 26th to see theatre history in the making. My wife and I saw it last night, and we're still talking about it. Tracy Letts has proven to be a contemporary playwright with brilliance who belongs in the distinguished company of O'Neill, Miller, Williams, and Inge. Powerful perfomances, wonderful set and lighting design....ect..... This is why I moved to Chicago. If you're reading this, go see this play!
