The band formed in October 2009 contained the body and soul of Nace Serdinsek (guitar), Domen Cas (keyboards), Matjaz Mosnik (bass), Nejc Kolar (drums) and vocalist Ales Ocko that joined the band in early 2010. The band started creating original material from the very beginning. At the end of 2010 the band starts preparations to hit the studio in early 2011 but two weeks before the recording date singer Ales leaves the band due to personal reasons. By coincidence Nace meets guitarist Tomaz Perme at a local jam session a few weeks after Ales left and asked him if he wanted to join the band because they always wanted two guitarists for that thick sound. Tomaz came to band practice, heard the music and joined State of fiction. Not much later Tomaz brings in singer Matjaz Sirovnik into the band and in March 2011 the band is complete.
