The saltine cracker challenge has got nothing on the Passover matzah challenge. Rules: Eat a whole piece of matzah, then whistle to win. No water until after you're done.

LOVE STORY (Taylor Swift) meets VIVA LA VIDA (Coldplay) - Piano Cello - by Jon Schmidt carlosian2 - 1,999,042 views - 3 months ago
http://www.jonschmidt.com Hi...Jon Schmidt here. This arrangement is dedicated to Sarah, my 7 year old daughter who loves the song Love Story by Taylor Swift. Because of a common rhythm element between the tunes, I decided I could mish/mash the two. My great friend Steven Sharp Nelson (cello percussion) really makes this tune. (http://stevensharpnelson.com )

The download will be available from my site (http://www.jonschmidt.com ) in a couple of weeks.

The entire album which will be titled "Bonus Tracks" will be available on iTunes summer 2009. Sheet music will also be available at my site May 2009.

I am an unsigned recording artist and composer.

All songs from all my albums can be listened to for free on my site: http://www.jonschmidt.com

I have transcribed many of them for piano. The first 2
pages of each song can be previewed before purchasing.

There are also several free song and sheet music downloads including All of Me PDF and MP3

I am also on I-tunes, Amazon, etc.

I'll be adding more videos soon.

There's a little demo video I threw together featuring 2 of my most popular compositions: "All of Me" and "Waterfall" at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =R5mqWdc0ZoA

THANKS!!!!

About Me: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's the timer program you use in your videos?
A: It's JNetCube; download it from
http://www.strangepuzzle.co...

Q: What's your method?
A: Full Fridrich for speedsolve, orient/permute 3-cycle for blindfold

Q: Will you teach me how to solve the Rubik's cube?
A: Google is your friend. If you're too lazy to spend two seconds on a Google search (but not lazy enough to not send me a message, it seems), my cube tutorial is at
http://shellie.nfshost.com/...

Q: How did you get so fast?
A: Practice.

Q: How long have you been doing this?
A: Roughly since late 2003/early 2004. I learned to blindfold cube in January 2005.

Q: Where do you get your cubes?
A: My cubes are the regular ones you'd be able to buy from rubiks.com or most major toy stores. In regards to the sticker peeling issue, I replace the original stickers with stickers from cubesmith.com, which last much longer and look better.

Q: How do you make your cubes turn so smoothly?
A: It helps if they start out nice when I first buy them. After a short break-in period I lube the inside with a silicon based spray lubricant. I also take it apart and clean out the dust inside periodically.

Q: That blindfold video is fake.
A: First of all, that's not a question. Second, it's not fake. It really is possible, and I have spent a considerable amount time honing a skill that's almost completely useless in real life.

Q: Will you teach me how to solve the Rubik's cube faster?
A: Check out the algorithms and tips on my website. Speedcubing.com also has lots of resources for aspiring speedcubers.

Q: How do you solve the cube blindfolded?
A: First, obviously, I memorize the state of the cube (that's the boring part at the beginning of my videos when I'm just looking at the cube), where each piece is supposed to go and how it's oriented. Then I solve it using the blindfold method which, unlike the normal speedsolve method, uses algorithms that only affect a few pieces at a time.

Q: Can you teach me?
A: I could, but it's kind of complicated, and I haven't gotten around to writing a tutorial for it. Check out Macky's blindfold solving tutorial at www.cubefreak.net; that's the method I use. Another popular method is the Pochmann method, which is described at http://www.stefan-pochmann....
Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages. Try them out, see what works for you.

Q: What's your memorization method?
A: I just remember the shapes of the cycles on the cube. A lot of other people use a numbering scheme or some sort of image/story based system, but I'm too lazy to get into that.

Q: Will you make a video tutorial on [insert cube-related topic here]?
A: Sorry, I don't take requests. I just upload videos when I feel like it. I do have a full time job now, and I'm not going through the process of organizing, filming and editing a tutorial series just because a stranger on YouTube asks me to. There are already plenty of non-video tutorials and resources out there on the web, some of which I've linked you to already. When I was your age, I used to read.

Q: Did you build the robot?
A: No, it belongs to and was built by Pete Redmond. Read the video description, it's there for a reason.

Q: It's because you're Asian/Damn, Asians are smart
A: The number of times I get these comment honestly baffles me. This has absolutely nothing to do with my race. Being Asian doesn't make this any easier, and I had to practice and work for the results you see, just like everyone else. Stop being racist.

Q: hi ur vids r rly kewl can u tell me sum gud sites 4 solving the rubix cube plz reply o and do u hav msn????
A: If you can't be bothered to type correctly what makes you think I'd be bothered to read it, much less validate your illiterate ramblings with a response? And what's with this 'u' and 'plz' crap? The few milliseconds you save by not typing a few letters are not worth looking like a chimpanzee banging on a keyboard, especially if you're typing a message to someone you don't know.

Q: Do you have AIM/MSN/MySpace/Facebook?
A: Maybe.

Q: Will you add me as a friend on AIM/MSN/MySpace/Facebook?
A: Do I know you?

Q: You're hot. Will you go out with me?
A: Thanks but no.
