As a Prinny, you can use the square button to slash wildly at oncoming foes, jump and double jump with the X button, and unleash a stunning butt stomp by jumping and holding down on the D pad. The butt move is key if you want to stun bosses (or other enemies) because it allows you to just wave your dual swords like mad for several seconds. You can also do a ranged attack by hitting the square button while you're in the air. You don't get to throw other Prinnies around, but you can pick up items, like bombs, and toss them onto unsuspecting enemies. You'll also come across random vehicles that you can hop into and use to fire lasers. Other than all the wacky and random features, Prinny plays very much like an old-school platformer in the sense that it's all about memorizing patterns of movement and timing your jumps precisely to survive. There isn't a lot of maneuverability once you've left the ground because the controls feel stiff. Directing your Prinny in a midair jump is tricky, making it difficult to land those rump stomps if the enemy moves quickly. If you enjoy tough platforming challenges, though, this would be it. Visually, Prinny looks fantastic with its detailed backdrops in all of the stages. Each level has a different theme, and it looks like a lot of care was put into the design as well as the characters.

Although some of that trademark Bethesda brittleness hangs in the air, the mature dialogue (it's a bit unnerving but wholly authentic the first time you hear 8-year-olds muttering expletives) and pockets of backstory make for a compelling trek. There are more tidbits than you could possibly discover on a single play-through. For example, a skill perk (more on these later) will enable you to extract information from a lady of the evening, information that in turn sheds new light on a few characters--and lets you complete a story quest in an unexpected way. A mission to find a self-realized android may initiate a fascinating look at a futuristic Underground Railroad, but a little side gossiping might let you lie your way to quest completion. There aren't as many quests as you may expect, but their complexity can be astonishing. Just be sure to explore them fully before pushing the story forward: Once it ends, the game is over, which means that you'll need to revert to an earlier saved game if you intend to explore once you finishe the main quest.

http://games-down... At first glance, Blood Bowl has the appearance of a real-time sports game, and it's possible to play that way if you wish. Turn-based is how Blood Bowl should be played, though, and when it's your turn you'll notice that a grid appears on relevant areas of the field to mark the squares that your players move between like chess pieces covered in spikes. The gameplay will purportedly be identical to that in the original board game, and--at least in the version that we were watching--there was text appearing on the screen that let us know the outcome of dice rolls as well as any special occurrences, such as pitch invasions and referees being bribed. In addition to a lengthy campaign mode with team management options for solo players, Blood Bowl will support online play. No release date for Blood Bowl has been confirmed at this time, but we look forward to bringing you more information as soon as it becomes available.

We watched Hill play through the opening of the game, which takes the form of an interactive cinematic. Batman has captured the Joker, and given the Joker's status as the ultimate supervillain, Batman decides to accompany him right down to his maximum-security confines at Arkham. Batman passes many familiar faces along the way, including an intimidating Killer Croc, as well as some of the good guys, such as Commissioner Gordon. But while Gordon may be toasting your success at capturing the city's most dangerous criminal, Batman senses that something is awry. The Joker has given himself up all too easily, and as he teases Warden Sharp and the guards with his trademark maniacal humour, he finds a chance to separate from Batman and make his escape. With the help of Harley Quinn and an army of inmates to do his bidding, the Joker effectively takes over the prison, setting up a fight with Batman on his own terms. We tell you all about our first look at Batman: Arkham Asylum.

That's the story that lays the foundation for 50's exploits in the Middle East. He must then fight his way through this dangerous setting--where everyone seems to want him and his buddies dead--and find the skull he so desperately wants. And so, he kills. A lot. This is very much an old-school shooter with a strong focus on filling the screen with nameless enemies who primarily serve as fodder rapidly build up points via a kill combo system. The action is definitely fast and frantic, and most of the challenge is derived from the number of enemies you face rather than their cunning abilities with a gun. Most situations involve 50 and his crew blasting their way through run-down urban buildings, through side alleys, and down roads with burning cars and scattered debris--a true war zone. There are 21 weapons in total, and you can carry four at a time. Selections range from dual Uzis to rocket launchers, and all of them are real-world weapons. Complementing your arsenal is a sticky cover system much like in Gears of War, which lets you peek around corners and vault over low obstacles. You probably won't find yourself using cover often, because if you want to acquire the most points, you'll need to string together as many kills as you can before the combo multiplier expires after a few seconds. That said, you can also take your time with melee counter kills, which generally involve some combination of punching, stabbing, and snapping necks to provide quick death to your enemies. These tend to be the most entertaining points in a battle.
