He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget. He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership. He has never voted to raise congressional pay. He has never taken a government-paid junket. He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch. He voted against the Patriot Act. He voted against regulating the Internet. He voted against the Iraq war. He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program. He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year. Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress. "...man is not free unless government is limited. There's a clear cause & effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts." - Ronald Reagan |

The earth is our home but we have given it away to a relative few who charge the rest of us for access to our own planet. The irony is that the economic value of the earth is created by all of us and its "owners" claim to be able to charge non-owners for the value we all give to the earth. Certainly humanity is irresponsible in its treatment of the earth but we do it for profit. It is truly irresponsible for humanity to let a minority of its members keep the profit they make from mere "ownership" of the earth. Take the community created value of earth for public purposes and all abuse of the earth for profit ends.

Man, squishy... how do we go on without Tim Russert, huh? I see that you must have been a big fan, too. I'm just heartbroken. Thanks for all of the postings you've put out surrounding his death... and his life. It's a great tribute to him. He would be thrilled and honored, I'm sure. Take care, buddy.
