The Songs of Praise song list is cheese free and they have a huge custom selection of rock, indie and alternative tracks for audience members to make their own, mangle or just howl along to. The show is staged with a backdrop of Marshal Amps pumped through a huge sound system.

In the last 12 months Songs of Praise has done a 7 date college tour for Xbox 360 and Guitar Hero, and taken stages at the Oxegen 08 and the Trinity Ball as well as a keeping Dublin city in Rock n Roll for over 3 years.

Over the years indie luminaries such as New Young Pony Club and superstar DJ Mylo have graced their stages and their shows have been enjoyed by the likes of Kiefer Suderland, Tony Bennett and The Killers.

This is no ordinary karaoke. Songs of Praise has brought karaoke Back (In Black). The inner rock star is release when people to do Rock & Roll Karaoke songs on a big stage thru' a very loud sound system. Rock & Roll Karaoke is credible, alternative rock songs. Think Van Halen, Kaiser Chiefs, Van, U2 and the Sex Pistols. There's no ABBA on OUR list - only Air Guitar Anarchy! It works so well and people have so much fun that it has made Karaoke COOL. Very cool. We've had the Killers in for a look, we've had Tony Bennett in the audience, and we've had New Young Pony Club on stage. We've also had a lot of fun. And so have the punters.

But don't think we only have Karaoke. There are our awesome DJs playing alternative tunes and then there is our incomparable host, Sister Barbara and Brother Declan. So, this is how we do it, we have 20 minutes of DJ action and then it's over to the, Marshall Stack back dropped, stage for 15 minutes of Rock & Roll Karaoke. So in essence what the audience get is the best of both worlds - big indie and rock classics from the Djs and big indie and rock classics from themselves and their mates. They also get to point the finger and laugh a lot. This is what makes it so special - as sometimes the worst singers are actually the best entertainment - even if lacking in poodle perms and acid washed jeans.

Songs of Praise Rock + Roll Karaoke ventured out from it's home in the Village, teaming up with Xbox for a hugely successful tour in November 2007 the stars of which can be seen here http://ie.youtube.com/songs... The tour rocked so much that we have decided to go on a national tour through March and April of this year.

In Dublin Magazine has "been having some much covert fun. We decided we had to share the fun with you lot", while The Dubliner says it's "Dublin's best karaoke night."
