That is most likely a wide band o2 sensor used to tell how the mixtures are. I can see how someone not used to dyno's would think that was a microphone though.

The factory original turbo's had 2 Naca ducts on the hood. My car isn't a factory turbo. It was a custom turbo built by Kelly Moss Racing. The vents on my car are in a different location and shaped differently than the factory cars.
