Roger Ebert has said that for some people, movie history begins with Star Wars. George Lucas has said that sound is "half of the picture". The sounds from the Star Wars series sit between those two quotes. Ben Burtt became the world's most influential sound designer by creating the sounds for the Star Wars series.
This list was created by factoring how famous or influential a given sound is, and also considering the sound from a sound designer's point of view. For example, the Darth Vader sounds are simple to create, yet the voice from James Earl Jones became one of the most influential sounds of the series. Compare that to the voice of Poggle the Lesser, which is not as famous, but a masterpiece of cutting and pasting phonetic sounds together.

PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION!! -- UPDATE 06/10/08 Thanks to everyone who took the time to watch, vote and comment on this video. I never expected that the video would be shared this intense. I just wanted to share this vid and now look what happened ^^"
So to make things clear: I am not the original maker of this!! The fame (if any) belongs to someone else. Neither do I know the lucky guy nor if he knows that this was uploaded on youtube (and by now on gametrailers and a lot of other sites too).
I appreciate any compliment, but please keep in mind that this is not my work.
If, by any chance, someone knows who to give credits to, let me know and send me a message so I can add it here. Thanks for reading!

Could this be the best ipod dock that money can buy? This is a short demonstration of how it works & how it plays for those who are serious about getting hi fidelity from their ipod and don't mind paying £900 for one.
During my testing sessions it is very clear to me that the Kid produces a superb & involving midband, with the treble on the sweet and slightly soft side, while the bass is solid & well defined. I personally don't like soft & sweet treble, users can easily adjust treble & bass level to their liking but i wouldn't prefer using the Kid's onboard equalization. On a solid state amplification setup (i also tested this with a Naim setup some time ago) the kid manages to give a warm/valve like sound which is appealing to some if you prefer that kind of sound.
I personally think it is an exceptional product it would completely wipe out the majority of sub £1k cdp although i must say i tend to look for upgradability on top of functionality in things, especially in high end equipment and i just don't see any for this product.
I must conclude that if you're the sort of person that demands quality but rarely would you upgrade your equipment then this is the product for you! However I would be more than happy to have the wadia itransport and a DAC of my desire (& possibly upgrade my DAC in the future!)
