My mother's budgie, Sunny, came over to visit the rest of our flock on Mother's Day, and starting chatting up a storm. She's always talking to him, so you can see he tends to listen. It would be 2 years as of the date of this video that she has had him.

Our budgie Tweedle Dum has a tendency to blunder around, sometimes falling behind furniture and then waiting to be rescued. Last night when he went missing, we looked in all the usual spaces, but no Dum. After an hour of somewhat frantic seaching around the house, we finally located him - he had fallen behind the freezer and somehow crawled into the space where the compressor is and got stuck. After we made sure he was ok, we went to work trying to get him out, and shot this video of the rescue attempt. He's fine, flew off and was chirping & grooming a few minutes later.

My mother's budgie Sunny has a huge vocabulary... if you listen closely you will hear "mommy loves you", "drink of water", "you pooped on mommy" and more.
