Early one morning in October 2011, a group of 22 residents from Signature HealthCARE buildings in Tennessee and Kentucky, along with 30 caregivers, piled on board a bus bound for Orlando, Florida and Walt Disney World.

Participating facilities spent the better part of this year holding events to raise the money to fund the trip. They raised a total of $30,000. The trip is intended to reawaken feelings from residents' youth.

"Many of our elders used to go on summer vacations with their families," said Angie McAllister, Quality of Life Director. "We wanted to offer them a similar experience again."
