About All Committed Couples Should Have the Freedom to Marry
AB 43 was a law that was passed by the California legislature in 2007 that would have allowed same-sex couples to get married right here in California.
Governor Schwarzenegger said that he would veto it if it got to his desk, so as a dutiful father, patriot and Christian, I wrote to him to ask him not to.
He vetoed it anyway, but over the past three years, the Governor has had a change of heart, to the point where he refuses to defend his own party's unconscionable policy of harassing and alienating gay people from society and the economy.
I wish he would be more vocal, but he's come a long way, and his journey can teach us all a lot.
