I also noticed you said on CBC that we only hear the good things about our system and the bad things about the American one. That is utterly untrue, and if you remember back in the 90s when the Clinton admin tried to reform healthcare,

Like I said, I'm sorry about your condition but that being said, I find it rather astounding that you label a cyst as a "tumor."
My uncle had cancer on his ribs, and was able to get it treated fairly quickly and the only thing he had to pay for was his private room which he requested, and he says he would have gone almost broke if he decided to cross borders.

Like I said, I apologize for all the death threats and name calling and what not you have received, but you have to look at it from our perspective. You're just contributing to the anti-Canadian propaganda that some right-wing nut cases love to spew like Fox News.

If the coverage in the states is so good, you should move there

I'm sorry about your case Shona, but overall the Canadian health care system is horrible. It's ranked 37th behind Slovenia by the UN, while Canada is in the top ten. When I was on vacation in the states and I got into an accident, I had to wait to go home to get health care because my injuries would have cost thousands of dollars in the US, while in Canada the care I received is free. Once again I am truly sorry for you, but Canada is much, much better then the United States.
