Joseph Perez Mirandilla is a Filipino classical guitarist who currently works as a Foreign Expert instructor of guitar at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in Chengdu, China. Joseph received his first training of the guitar and Bachelor's degree in Music at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Conservatory of Music under the guidance of Prof. Ruben F. Reyes. After graduating, he was immediately absorbed by the Conservatory as one of their faculty. In 2005, Joseph went to Hiroshima, Japan to pursue his post-graduate studies at the Elisabeth University of Music. He studied under Prof. Norio Sato, a world renowned leader of the contemporary music group Ensemble NOMAD.

Joseph has participated in several competitions in the Philippines, Japan, and Thailand—where he received top prizes. This year, he joined the 7th Thailand International Guitar Festival and Competition in Bangkok, where he was awarded 3rd prize amongst other competitors from China, Belgium, Japan, Albania, Russia, America, Thailand, Indonesia, and Maldives. While in Japan, he bagged the 1st prize at the Japan Sanin Guitar Competition, as well as the 2nd prize at the Japan Kyushu Guitar Competition in 2006. The Elisabeth University of Music awarded him the first "Cecilia Prize" for getting the highest point among all graduating Masters students in their final examination. During his college days in the Philippines, Joseph won 1st prize at the National Music Competition for Young Artists in 1999 and received the Benavidez Award from the University of Santo for his outstanding achievement in music.
