The reference to Elvis and Sean is in regard to their HERITAGE - that being that their parents/grandparents were of Romani blood, does this answer your question?
Some of our cultural and language base has been traced to India, also DNA profiling has placed same genome in both some Indian groups and Romani - so there is a great deal of evidence that India may have been our ancestoral home. However with many believing Egypt to be the ancestoral home, i think the jury is still out on this debate.

True that, we come in all different shapes, sizes and colours! How can we not.? We represent the nature of the lands we walked, and the countrysides of the world are filled with flowers of many colours. =) True Romanipe lives within ALL of our hearts as Roma people, not in the colours of our skin. Our hearts all pump the same red blood and the same Roma fire! =)

All Romani have the right to be proud of their heritage, regardless of where they live, how uneducated or educated they are, and how much mix of other races flow through the migrated blood of all Romani!

To such an educated lady - you know to whom i speak - many blessings on you - you have a right to proud of who and what you are and what you and your siblings have achieved.

I myself have attend University, graduated in many studies, and it is only through illness that i am presently not following my vocation of Historian and Archeaolgist - it is a misnomer that some assume Romani means uneducated!
