This is two days after I got my contact ball, it's not going to be perfect. But anyway, this is what I've learned so far. Recorded in my basement at about 1:30 in the morning on a macbook pro. The song playing in the background is The Fire Song by Company of Thieves.

Well this is the first actual short film I've thrown together. The story is mildly open to interpretation as to what the text and the note actually said.
I filmed this on a JVC Everio consumer-cam, so nothing really high-end. I was also the sole cast and crew for this. I set up the camera on a tripod, then took my place to act it out, and most of the shots that are in the film are the first and only take. Saves time from having to get an actor to do what I want. Edited with Final Cut Express, and on a Mac.
Fun trivia: what was REALLY written on the post-it was -
Very indistinct small green writing - actually should be explaining why this girl that texted our main character decided to leave this note. Heart Cinematographer.
So that kinda gives a hint as to whats up.
Also, in case the title didn't give it away, the song is Heaven's Gonna Burn Your Eyes by Thievery Corporation. From their album The Richest Man in Babylon. Good stuff. Check it out.

Alright I know the quality is shit, but thats the only way I could get as much video time on my camera (I use a little JVC Everio)
But anyway this is a time lapse from out my apartment window down Plymouth Ct in Chicago's South Loop. Obviously this took place over a few days and you can see the part of my kitchen too
Edit: The street that this is being filmed on is actually called Polk; the Columbia College building that takes up the majority of the right side of the screen is called Plymouth Court. My bad.
The song is All That We Perceive by the Thievery Corporation
