White Phosphorus is used as a quick smoke agent by the Israelis. It can be used as a chemical agent too, but it is not a very good one. The problem is that it is lighter than air, while chlorine and mustard gas are both heavier than air. Its a shame that White Phosphorus is banned by the geneva convention, because (if used properly) it can be very good at laying down thick smoke to cover troops.
