On July 4th, 2009, the United States of America celebrates its Independence Day. Our nephew, Carter Bridges, sang the National Anthem at Mi Pueblitos in Kings Mountain, NC and we had to share it with everyone. We are so proud of Carter for not only learning the National Anthem and how to to sing it but also for him being brave enough to sing it in public.

Thursday night we drove to Blowing Rock, NC to have dinner with Brad's parents. While there Bill and Barbara took us to a local ice cream story where they make their own waffle cones. We ask the lady making if she would teach us how to do it. We thought we'd share what we learned in case anyone else has ever wondered how they make those waffle cones for putting ice cream into.
