it could certainly be done -- you'd just need to drill out the bottom with something like a 1/2" drill bit. The rods are 1/8" so you can go into the 1/2" cavity from the top of those. PLENTY of room for lights.

You do have "round lip" and "beveled edge" reversed though -- the 40k bases are beveled and Warmachine, etc. round lipped.

Try the Q-Tip for the glue -- you're only looking for enough to kind of, sort of attach it to the surface. To really hold the brass in place you're using the glue OVER the brass with the excess removed. That should help avoid any future thum-ectomies ;)

Many thanks! Trenches are one of my favorite terrains to make so of course I had to put a kit together to inspire others :)
I would probably shade white cloth with something other than black -- and choose a colour that compliments the rest of the scheme. Maybe a blue or brown?
On the shirts we actually have a couple of different slogans available :)
