Screentest is a completely non-profit project run by volunteers. It is organized by students for students through the University of Bristol Filmmaking Society (UBFS) and with the support of the University of Bristol Union (UBU). Originally Screentest was focused only on hosting the National Student Film Festival, but in its third year it is in the midst of building the Student Film Network.

Each of these endeavors is carried out with three aims in mind:

1. Provide more exposure and appreciation for student produced films.
2. Encourage higher production value from young people.
3. Assist students to pursue careers in film.


The 2007 Screentest Film Festival will take place over the weekend of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of March with the best student films, talks from leading industry figures, festival parties and film awards.
