At this point the Nigerian Jews are not recognized by the Rabbinic Council in Israel, nor are many other groups of "lost Jewish/israelite" communities. In particular these Nigerian Jews want to formally convert with a Bet Din. There is a lot of work to be done here. Any help would be appreciated.

I was fascinated and curious about this video. In truth, a person can be Jewish of any race, but you aren't Jewish by virtue of calling yourself Jewish. As another poster wisely noted, your group needs to be recognized by the Rabbinic Council in Israel. I am suspicious about this group's authenticity (though don't question their sincerity) as no one has posted anything to indicate such recognition not even the person whose videos these are. If anyone has information that would indicate such recognition, please do post as that would be most fascinating.

I would like to thank you for posting the video about Jews in Igbo land in Nigeria. At 1st I was skeptical about the truth but after researching intensively I found that the Cohen gene was represented in the DNA tests confirming Hebrew descent. I am Igbo through my mothers lineage and am going to do a DNA test to help scientific analysis in regards to this subject. It is remarkable the extent of the migration of Isrealites arround the globe.
