To all who wonder why I disabled comments on the 1969 Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial:
That board turned into a sewage pit of animal-rights terrorists and racism .... PETA started picking fights on there, and it went downhill. The last straw were the N-word comments. Only black people enjoy Kentucky Fried Chicken?? Grow up!
I thought turning on comment-moderation was the answer ... but I soon found myself flooded with approval messages, often by those who repeated the same comment, thinking it didn't 'take' (yet didn't read that approval was required). I work for a living, and doing the work of four people there isn't the time.
If all comments were in good spirit and friendly, I'd keep them going. The IHOP and Chef Boy-Ar-Dee commercials don't seem to attract the bottom-feeders ... but obviously a 40-year-old commercial of Colonel Sanders as a real, live, breathing human brings out the worst in some folks.
Hey we take offense to your comments and video on kfc. Here at PETA we respect people views on animals. Just Kiddin our real motto is People Eating Tasty Animals. Won't you join our organization?
I love chicken

Thanks for understanding.
