Independent Manchester based alternative rock 'n' roll independent label / management / production company. Currently working with SupaJamma as bass player & slowly compiling a Dog Toffee comp featuring a load of rare & unreleased stuff stuff for CD/DVD out 2009

Previously worked with or released stuff by - Goldblade, Solanoid, Pachinos, Force Tenn, John The Raptist, The Hyperjax, Electric Frankenstein, The Peepshows, Clime, Raindance & now SupaJamma. Not currently looking for anything new due to budget restrictions but always happy to listen.

Currently, apart from the DT release, the label is in hibernation as I'm now out of retirement & playing again, the band is SupaJamma a fucked up blend of Punk, Alt, Reggae, Indie & Hip Hop, it just rocks like a motherfucker. Video will be posted early 2009 shortly before we hit the road. As far as I'm concerned punk was always about not following the rules & we've certainly tried to break some here.
Punk circa 1976 is where I got started, managed various bands of various styles some of which will be represented here when I dig the vids out. Played in a couple of very unknown punk bands one of which morphed into Manc indie band Raindance ( I got tired of having no audience for the noise I'd been foisting, punk really was dead by then ) after a couple of years I left to start managing then but sadly they split. I experimented with another couple of great indie bands before going into partnership in 1997 with Phil Bell owner of PJ Bells East Side Jazz Cafe / Republica in Manchester to manage both Dog Toffee one of the very few rock 'n' roll band in the country at the time, Therapy? The X-Rays, Goldblade & the Golden Guineas being the others & the Wildhearts were split at the time) & hardcore rap crew Force Tenn which contained the mighty talents of John The Raptist. The journey with Dog Toffee has been a wonderfully turbulent one, real rock 'n' roll are tough to acts break in the UK & even though we managed to get Sony on board for a year they jumped & the band were dumped, 3 albums later & we're still dying! The Rock 'n' Roll Unliminted label has been a labour of love & nearly made me bankrupt more than once. It's a tough game & when the competition can place their music on the major soaps weeks ahead of release & swamp myspace with their big budgets (Duffy is them most recent big hype ( don't you just love the Brit School conveyor! Ready made for your consumption. I am sour but it isn't sour grapes, you can't teach rock 'n' roll in school, not to say it isn't learned there it just isn't on the curriculum) of course, 100% no 1 before anyone even heard it. There's little hope for the like's of us. Genius marketing, I must admit, but cynical & lacking in any true passion or soul & that's all the chart's are these days, marketing charts. Fuck em, arts for arts sake.

Record Label: Rock 'n' Roll Unlimited
Label Type: Independent
Band Members: Me Myself & I - Simon Collier + everyone I worked with, thought they were all great or I wouldn't have got involved.
Influences: I would say the major influences I've had in my life have been The Stones, Motorhead, Buzzcocks, The Chameleons (probably the best underachieveing band out of Manchester alongside Audioweb & Magazine), Smiths, U2 (seeing them play to 50 people being the real influence), Supersuckers, Clash, Damned, Slaughter & The Dogs, Misfits, Danzig, especially when he hit the industrial period &
Sounds Like: Loud, obnoxious, passionate, raw & melodic, sometimes smooth.
Country: United Kingdom
