Joe's POV
"Need some help?"
I turned around and the same dude was offering me a basket.
"Thanks man." I grinned.
"No problem. I was wondering if you could do me a favour." he started.
"What kind of favour?" I asked, skeptically.
"See that girl over there. Don't Look!" he shouted.
"Urm. The one behind the electronics counter?" I asked, casually looking at her.
"Yeah. That's Layla. I really like her, but have no clue how to talk to her." he explained. "Seen as you have a smoking hot girlfriend, I was wondering if you could give me some advice." he finished.
"How do you know what my girlfriend looks like?" I asked, shocked.
"Dude! There's photos of her all over OceanUp and TMZ." he chuckled. "Everytime she steps outside there's a new photo."
"That's kinda.....weird." I admitted. "And just a tip, little less E! News, little more ESPN." I laughed.
"Thanks. Any other advice?"
"Just be yourself man. From what I can see, she kinda already likes you." I said.
"What! How can you tell?"
"She hasn't stopped looking over here."
"Nahh dude. That's because you're in here." he admitted. "She'd never be interested in a guy like me." he sighed.
"Hang on a sec." I said, giving him the basket which he could barely hold.
I strolled towards the electronics counter, approaching Layla to help my friend out.
"Layla, right?" I asked, smiling.
"Yeah." she replied. She obviously wasn't interested in me.
"I saw you looking at my friend over there." I said, raising my eyebrow.
"Benjamin. Yeah, he's pretty cool." she admitted, slightly blushing.
"He thinks you're prety cool too. Infact, he wanted me to come over and ask you on a date." I said.
"Why didn't he come himself?" she asked.
"Well, he's helping me with some shopping. Tell you what, I'm throwing a New Years party tomorrow night. How about you and Ben come along together?" I offered. "First date and everything."
"That sounds cool. Thanks." she smiled, giving Ben a wave over my shoulder.
"He'll pick you up at 8."
I strolled back over to him, giving him a slight wink so he'd know it went well.
"What did she say?" he asked, as soon as I got close enough to hear him.
"Your picking her up at 8 tomorrow night." I grinned, taking my basket.
"Where are we going?" he asked, nervously.
"My new years party. Here's my address." I said, handing him a piece of paper.
"Ohh, thanks man." he smiled, truely grateful.
"No problem." I smiled, taking my lemonade and handing him a $20 bill. "See you tomorrow night Ben."
Helping people always made me feel super great. I'd have to warn my parents that two people would be showing up though. Don't want them throwing out or anything.
"Joe, where have you been?" Mom scolded, when I arrived home a half hour late.
"Sorry. I was helping a friend out." I explained. "Two more people will be showing up tomorrow night by the way." I said.
"Who?" Nick asked, strolling into the kitchen.
"Benjamin and his date." I grinned. "I just met them both at Wal-Mart. Cool people."
"Who goes to Wal-Mart and makes friends? Nick asked, perplexed.
"Uhh. Joe Jonas. That's who." I laughed, walking into the lounge.
I love this chapter!
And, more apoligises!
I've had a busy weekend! Guy troubles, dudes just bring drama!
I finish school next week, so expect more uploading, and writing :D
I'd give you a funny story from my weekend, but they've all being kinda great. Luke - science class Luke - did do some rather impressive Michael Jackson dance moves while spinning on a roundabout :D
Were your weekends good?
