ENCLAVE DANCE COMPANY was formed in April 2004 in Brussels, a vibrant artistic and bustling city at the heart of Europe. Now Roberto Olivan is creating a second base in Barcelona, where he currently lives.

The aim of ENCLAVE is to create a new language that combines different artistic disciplines on stage. The task is to find the common ground where they can interact - each keeping its unique qualities but fusing into a new artistic whole, a whole which is greater then the sum of its parts.

The groups tastes and strengths guide the creative process, striving for harmony in diversity. During this working process they discover extraordinary and valuable material. They also stumble into doubts and questions. These have to be expressed through actions. Dance is not simple but it can be simple. There again it can be complex.

Finally what is important is clarity.

Clear questions have force.
