Roberto Cardinali was born in Sezze (Latina) on 12 May 1981 . When he was a little child he was attracted by all kinds of music and sounds , prefering an old keyboards than normal toys even when he was three . When he was 9 he started advanced guitar classic studies , with the guide of the teachers G. Di Prospero and A. D'Augello . They tutored him for several years , teaching him guitar tecnic, solfeggio , music harmony and music theory until the fifth level of classical music. Having a particular aptitude and ability in orchestral music , he took part in national concerts and contests becoming the first guitar in the "G.G.S.S." and winning the first musical pontina festival . This is the reason why he plays in different theaters, important festivals and events in central Italy , where he gets many prizes and awards . Meanwhile , in the first high school years , he falls in love with rock music and elettric guitar by listening Brian May , Paul Gilbert , John Petrucci , Steve Vai ... his real inspiresrs...He follows methods and videos as a self-taught person , putting a lot of daily and continuous work into his instruments . Over the years he sets up many music bands (Drhama , SoloKaos , IX Ora , Crystal Maze , etc...)and he collaborates with professional italian musicians having success like performer and composer.Then he approaches guitar fusion musicians ( like Pat Metheny , Frank Gambale , John Scofield etc...) and successively moves to more active musicians like Scott Henderson , A. Holdsworth , Robben Ford , Eric Johnson . He has always busy listening to every kind of music , knowing different things that are part of his musical language which runs from rock to blues , passing throught jazz and funk.
Now he is working with his first soloist disc after having experienced recording with his bands . He arranges musics for theatral and musical shows. He does private lessons on heavy metal , rock . pop . blues , fingerpicking tecnic and classical guitar music etc... Over the years he has tooken part in many didactic clinics : Steve Vai, Andrea Braido , Massimo Varini , Mike Stern, Roland Dyens , Brett Garsed , Greg Howe , Frank Gambale , Ricky Portera , William Stravato , Kee Marcello , Alessandro Benvenuti, Nicola Costa , Beppe Basile , Massimo Pizzale , Luca Colombo , Giacomo Castellano, Kiko Loureiro, Paul Gibert ...Over and above music , he has another great passion : he is envelved at the "Medicine" faculty at "La Sapienza University" in Rome.
