Felicitari tie si tatalui tau un geniu al muzicii.Muzica asta iti ajunge la suflet fie ca esti roman fie rrom fie strain.Daca mai ai filmulete gen celor cu Vasile Nasturica,un om exceptional pe care l-am cunoscut la fel ca si maestrul Costel Vasilescu,deci daca mai ai filmulete din astea gen "home movies" ar fi tare bine.

Nu pot decit sa ma complimentez cu tine...si sa-ti doresc tot mai multe succese atit in Romania cit si in strainatate. Am vazut cit de mare s-a facut fetita ta...si cit il iubeste pe bunicul Mieluta...trasmitei si lui tot mai multe succese si sa faca in asa fel incit i cd sa nu fie numai audio dar si video. Mi ar face o deosebita placere a gasi in magazinele noastre de specialitate aici in Italia, i compact disk cu musica voastra lautareasca si cu musica jazz, care mie imi place enorm de mult. Cu ocazia sarbatorilor de iarna, a Sfintului Craciun si a Anului Nou, doresc tie cit si familiei tale inclus si socru Bibescu multa sanatate, noroc in toate, fericire si indleplinirea tuturor dorintelor. Sper ca in un viitor apropriat sa ne vedem la Bucuresti si sa petrecem asa cun facem noi rominii.

I saw the video of your dad, incredible!

I learned to play the Cimbalom when I was 11. I played it for 5 years. I'll be visiting Budapest soon and I'm looking forward to hear the Cimbalom again.

I toured Europe when I was 14 (1978), spending two weeks in Budapest taking lessons. We went to the Cimbalom factory in Budapest, can't recall the name (Bhoa or something like that). We also spent time in Bucharest and checked out a shop where Cimbaloms were made.

hy daniel ION MIU is my father and he was the teacher for many people here in Bucharest.he teached to Giany Lincan, Cristinel Turturica(Cristinel is the cimbalom player of the clejani Band),and so on.I play to cimbalom too.you can see me on youtoube plaiyng with my band..if u want my advice i think: if u want and if u love so much the cimbalom dont go to buy this instrument if u dont have any teacher to teach you.If u want to know anything else ask me and i will answerr u with pleasure. My name is Daniel and I'm a Clarinet player from Ireland (the land of no Cimbaloms). My absolute favourite instrument is without doubt the cimbalom. I have been thinking about buying one from Hungary but there is no-one here to teach me. Have you got any advice? Probably not to bother, ha ha. I'm also wondering are you related to the great Ion Miu? Lautari music is my greatest interest and I hope to get over to bucharest in February and was wondering if you knew of any good places to go to hear and maybe get some lessons there? I'll be heading over to Clejani to try and hook up with a friend of Marius from taraf de haidouks whos a clarinet player but other than that I have no info on where else to go... Anyway
