Inspired by the comforting power of animals, Riley's Place provides a special experience for children in need. Our gentle therapy animals, with their unconditional, non-judgmental acceptance, positively impact children facing life-threatening illness, children living with family challenges such as homelessness or domestic violence, and children living with disabilities. In the peaceful atmosphere of Riley's Place, children can spend time with a four-legged friend - patting, grooming, feeding, and experiencing the unconditional love of a gentle horse, goat, bunny, guinea pig, cat, miniature donkey, hen, or a babydoll sheep. All programs are offered free of charge.
Riley's Place was founded in 2009 by a group of caring people from the local community in honor of Riley Church, who at age 14 died of a brain tumor. She was an avid equestrian and loved nature and all animals.
