Three Months on the North Pole Sea Ice Revkin - 1,411 views - 2 days ago
A webcam left on the sea ice near the North Pole in April records 90 days and "nights" (the sun doesn't set) at the top of the world. Near the end, a ridge forms as two floes collide close to the camera. More at http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes. com/tag/arctic

1958 - Global Warming - It's NOT newly known hmmmmmmmmm2 - 82,052 views - 2 years ago
For FIFTY YEARS scientists have known about global warming. This exerpt is from the well known educational documentary "Unchained Goddess" produced by Frank Capra for Bell Labs for their television program "The Bell Telephone Hour." It was so well made, that it went on to live a continued life in middle school science classrooms across the nation for decades.

Nearly half a century before Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truth," this film was made. But what does it reveal? That our scientists have known for over two generations about this danger, but our politicians and citizenry have chosen to ignore the dangerous implications of this fact until it really is too late to avoid the preventable consequences.

Perhaps we deserve our fate.

Global warming is a bunch of crap.Pouring a small bottle clean water into a lake will not save the worl.I mean do you really think that???The WORLD is not "in danger" in any way, if anything its people that think it is, try to do something, and screw it up.Sure there's some pollution, deal with it.Not everything is perfect.
