What I don't understand, Perlmutter, is how you can co-sponser 1207 and then try to introduce your amendment to the Financial Stability Improvement Act of 2009 which allows banks to make numbers up AND operate without any oversight during a time of instability. The banks have proved to us all that they can't be trusted to operate honestly on their own, so you can't possibly be so ignorant as to give them more power and secrecy. How much lobbyist money does it take to convince you to sell your country down the river? After you die rich and the people you "served" are more enslaved than ever, I hope you look up at us in eternal shame.

PLEASE help support HR 1207! The Federal Reserve has unelected officials, doesn't answer to congress, and is in charge of our monetary supply.

They need some accountability, and the people are starting to demand it.

Thank you for all you do sir! One important request: The HR 2454 bill, the "Cap-and-Trade" bill scheduled to come before you for a vote very soon, I believe is nothing more than a thinly disguised energy tax that will hit every single American.

Energy companies will pass the costs of their new regulations through to consumers in the form of huge price increases, meaning higher electric bills, gas prices, and increased costs across the board.

Mr. Perlmutter, I strongly urge you to stand up for the American people by opposing HR 2454.
