Created somewhere between Westbourne Park West London, and Canvey Island via Perth Australia. Started in 2006 by Pete Helmer, former guitarist with 80's underground psychedelia band Le mat. A collection of songs he had knocking about in his head needed a home. After a few solo acoustic gigs, he decided he needed a band, so armed with an obsession for the workings of the human psyche, and all things curious in the world, he set out on a long journey only to find himself on Canvey Island -- home of all music ever. then & There, the Reillys were born!

Influences:
Described as a 'quintessentially English' band, they have a wide set of influences from Ziggy Stardust, through the psyche of London, to the strong song writing of Tilbrooke/Difford and Albern with a smattering of ethereal Brian Wilson, washed down with a flagon of Absynth and arsenic. Check out Burning Ships for the ethereal dream or Coney Island High for the savage expose of the frailties of the human psyche.
